Garry Winogrand 


Garry Winogrand was a street photographer known for his portrayal of the United States. John Szarkowski called him the central photographer of his generation.

Winogrand was known for his portrayal of American life in the 1960s. 
In 1964, Winogrand was given a Guggenheim Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation to travel for photographic studies of American life. Winogrand worked as a commercial photographer between 1952 to 1954 at the Pix Photo Agency in Manhattan, and from 1954 at Brackman Associates. Between 1971 and 1972, Winogrand taught photography at the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and between 1973 and 1978 at the University of Texas at Austin.

Pete has been a photographer for over 30 years. Working mainly on advertising campaigns.
His experience from client pre-production meetings through to final post-production has resulted in many successful campaigns winning numerous industry awards including being voted one of Luerzer's Achives 200 best Ad photographers in the world and won 'travel photographer of the year 2011' by the British Travel Press.Whether it's studio or location he has experience for them all
He works regularly for Lonely Planet magazine.
Pete has recently been shooting in Bali, Jakarta, Delhi and the UK. He is also working on a major exhibition and book showing the 'real' side of travel photography, featuring imagery of the world rarely seen.
