Ralph John Perou's photography (explained)

RalpJohn Perou's Photography

This image is one of Ralph john Perou's pictures (professionally known as Perou). Perou is a British fashion, music and portrait photographer.

This photograph (taken in 2011) is of two young models that appear to be jumping in the air while having paint splashed between them both. In this image the models have no facial expressions and there body positioning is very basic and stiff. They are positioned at different levels as well and the red paint between them looks like blood, like their two bodies have collided against each other and blood has gone everywhere.

This photo hasn't been photo shopped and it is very unique and the red may symbolize love between men and women and the redness is very bright so it grabs your attention . On the other hand, the background is very dull and has different shades of lighting, which contrasts well with the colours.
The way this has been photographed shows the good splash effect using the low apature, technically this image has hidden effects because there is 3 people in this image, one throwing the red liquid and the models.and these models look like some sort of gymnastics as well. The female models hair is quiet big and bold so it goes with the image well where as the male models hair is quiet straight forward and pointy.

The models are wearing basic black and white clothing as well to show how colour's can make a big difference to how we see the image. This image could also be a basic re-en-action of war or something like that to show how it was like and this may resemble two dead bodies laying in blood which would also explain the motionless expressions and poses within the models in the photograph.‎

The way the models are set out in the picture as well is in the center, drawing all your attention to them and not having too much space to if adds to the effect its meant to have.

this image also has the use of triangles (from the woman's head, to the mans elbow and the mans arm again). there is also the use of pattern and repetition within the way the models are posing. this image is also even because of the gender (one female and one male).
